A bold attempt to move the Commonwealth out of the Creation Engine and into an open-source future.
I've spent way too many hours troubleshooting load orders and praying to the script extender gods to not be immediately intrigued by this. I've seen some ambitious modding projects over the years—total conversions that change the setting entirely or massive landmass expansions—but moving an entire Bethesda title into a completely different engine is a special kind of 'why not?' A recent post over on r/FalloutMods shows Fallout 4 assets and logic being tested within Godot, and it’s honestly making me rethink what’s actually possible with our favorite junk-filled sandbox. I'm especially intrigued since I'm also making a game in Godot, but more on that one soon. This is the kind of a project that sounds impossible until you see the first few frames of a familiar wasteland rendering in a new environment.
