FH Companion ("we," "us," or "our") is a fan-made companion app for the Fallout universe, developed by Angelyze. The app provides news, lore, social media feeds, radio streams, videos, an AI-powered wiki, community features, mini-games, and other Fallout-related content.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the app.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following types of information:
Automatically Collected Information
Device and Usage Data: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, IP address, app version, and usage statistics (e.g., features accessed, session duration).
Network Information: We use the INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE permissions to verify connectivity and deliver content (news, videos, community posts, and similar).
Notification and Badge Data: We use permissions such as POST_NOTIFICATIONS, RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED, WAKE_LOCK, VIBRATE, and various launcher badge permissions (e.g., Samsung, Huawei, Sony, OPPO, and Badger library) to deliver push notifications and update app icon badges for new content or community updates.
Audio Settings: The MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS permission is used for radio playback and other media features.
Push Notification Tokens: We use Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) via com.google.android.c2dm.permission.RECEIVE, and related Google permissions to send push notifications about news, updates, or community events.

Any content you post or share within the app (e.g., feedback or community interactions).
Preferences for notifications, radio stations, or content.
Third-Party Data
The app displays embedded content from third parties (YouTube, social media feeds, and news sources). These services may collect their data. We do not collect any log-ins or data intended for displaying ads.
No Sensitive Personal Data
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information, such as health data, precise location information (no location permission is requested), financial information, or biometric data.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide and improve the app's core features (news feeds, radio, videos, AI wiki, and mini-games).
- Send relevant push notifications about Fallout news, updates, events, or new content (you can manage or disable these in your device settings).
- Analyze usage to understand how users interact with the app and improve performance.
- Maintain app icon badges for unread content or notifications.
- Ensure the app functions correctly after device boot or during background operation.
- Comply with legal obligations and prevent misuse.
3. Sharing Your Information
We may share information in these situations:
- With service providers (e.g., Google Firebase for push notifications and analytics) who help us operate the app.
- In response to legal requests or court orders, or to protect our rights and safety.
- In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with notice where required).
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
4. Third-Party Services and Links
The app may contain links to external websites, YouTube videos, social media, Discord, or other Fallout-related resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. Please review their privacy policies.
Google (FCM, Play Services) and launcher providers (Samsung, Huawei, etc.) process certain data according to their policies.
5. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data.
6. Your Rights and Choices
Notifications: You can enable/disable push notifications and badges through your device settings (Android Settings > Apps > FH Companion > Notifications).
Ads: You may see interest-based ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your Google account settings.
Data Access / Deletion: Contact us at the address below to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data (subject to legal limitations).
Do Not Track: The app does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals.
Users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK, or other regions with data protection rights may have additional rights (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and portability). Contact us to exercise these rights.
California Residents: We do not sell personal information. You may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) — contact us for more details.
7. Children’s Privacy
The app is rated "Everyone" and is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in some jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that we have collected such data, we will take steps to delete it.

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy in the app and updating the effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
