More than 40K votes determined the ultimate Fallout game for 2026, and it's Fallout: New Vegas! The 16-year-old game remains a fan favorite among Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout: Tactics, Fallout 3, Fallout 4, and Fallout 76. Fallout 2 finished second, while Fallout 4 finished third, according to the traditional tournament bracket. I'll show you the data behind it all, which is quite interesting, and you might end up very surprised.

The Data
First and foremost, thank you to everyone who voted. I believe it's safe to say we received more than 50K votes for the entire tournament across all of Fallout Hub's social media pages, but I'm focusing on Facebook (Fallout Hub on Facebook) primarily because they all said the same thing. You can clearly see the winner on the tournament bracket, but I'm going to reveal the total number of votes each game received, and you might end up surprised.
Fallout: New Vegas won the tournament, followed by Fallout 2, and Fallout 4 finished third. This says a few things about fans loving the true RPG over action-adventure, but also that Fallout 4 is the best Fallout game Bethesda made so far. When you put it in the perspective of how old the games are, it's even crazier—15-25-10. What I see here is Bethesda should take notes and blow us away with Fallout 5 in the future.

Let's get to those beautiful numbers behind this tournament. First, the 1/8 bracket:
- Fallout vs. Fallout 2 (400 vs. 1.3K votes)
- Fallout: Tactics vs. Fallout: BoS (900 vs. 90 votes)
- Fallout 3 vs. Fallout: New Vegas (1.9K vs. 6.3K votes)
- Fallout 4 vs. Fallout 76 (7K vs. 700 votes)
Then, the winners continued into the 1/4 bracket:
- Fallout 2 vs. Fallout: Tactics (1.7K vs. 150 votes)
- Fallout: New Vegas vs. Fallout 4 (8.5K vs. 3.5K votes)
And then, the final 1/2 bracket:
- Fallout 2 vs. Fallout: New Vegas (1K vs. 5.8K votes)
I understand that many people believe it is not the most fair tournament, and you may be onto something. The number of total votes received by each game changed the 2-5 ranking. The winner by total votes received stays the same, and the rest go as follows:
- Fallout: New Vegas - total votes: 20.5K
- Fallout 4 - total votes: 10.5K
- Fallout 2 - total votes: 4K
- Fallout 3 - total votes: 1.9K
- Fallout: Tactics - total votes: 1.1K
- Fallout 76 - total votes: 700
- Fallout - total votes: 400
- Fallout: BoS - total votes: 90
What makes this more intriguing is that almost every game has half as many votes as the one above it. To dethrone Fallout: New Vegas, Bethesda needs to pull off a miracle with Fallout 5.
